Costing

The Main Costing module calculates the landed cost per unit for finished products by distributing processing fees, raw material costs, and overheads across the batch output.

How costing works

1. Kill floor batch data (head count, weights) feeds into the costing engine.
2. Fee rules defined in the master price list are applied proportionally.
3. The resulting per-unit costs are available for review and export.

Viewing cost breakdowns

Navigate to Costing ??? Main Costing from the top menu. Select the relevant batch or date range, then click Calculate to generate or refresh the cost sheet.

Exporting results

Use the Export to Excel button on the costing grid to download a spreadsheet of all line items, subtotals, and per-unit figures.

Note: Only users with the Costing role can view or recalculate cost sheets. Contact your system administrator if you need access.
