Cooler & Freezer

The Cooler and Freezer modules track chilled and frozen product inventory respectively. Both follow the same operational model.

Cooler inventory

The cooler holds chilled carcasses, primals, and sub-primals after kill floor processing.

Common tasks:

• View stock ??? navigate to Inventory ??? Cooler to see all items currently in the cooler, grouped by rack and location.
• Receive stock ??? stock is automatically created from closed Kill Floor batches. Manual receipts can be added via Cooler ??? Receive.
• Issue stock ??? record stock leaving the cooler (to the breaking room, dispatch, or waste) via Cooler ??? Issue.
• Transfer ??? move items between cooler locations via Cooler ??? Transfer.

Freezer inventory

The freezer holds frozen finished goods and raw material stock.

Common tasks:

• View stock ??? Inventory ??? Freezer
• Receive ??? Freezer ??? Receive
• Issue ??? Freezer ??? Issue

Stock movement history

Click on any item in the Cooler or Freezer inventory grid to open its movement history, showing every receipt, issue, transfer, and adjustment with timestamps and the responsible user.

Discrepancies

If physical counts do not match the system, use Stock Adjustments (available in both modules) to correct the balance. All adjustments require a reason code and are logged for audit purposes.
