Authentication

The Auth module handles user login, PIN-based re-authentication, and server connection setup.

Login Page

Users enter a Mobile ID (username) to authenticate against the backend API. The login screen adapts to all screen sizes (mobile, tablet portrait, tablet landscape, desktop).

• Device information is collected on login init (IP address, device details)
• Credentials are submitted via HTTP POST (postJson) to the configured server
• On success, user profile and menu access permissions are loaded

PIN Login

For quick re-authentication (e.g., after idle timeout), users can log in using a PIN instead of re-entering full credentials.

• PIN entry uses the pinput package for a polished digit-input UI
• Available in the same responsive screen variants as the main login

Login Settings

Before logging in, users configure the server connection:

• Server IP address / URL
• Port
• Any environment-specific settings

These settings are persisted locally (SharedPreferences) so users don't need to re-enter them each session.

Idle Detection & Auto-Logout

The app includes an idle detection system (LmpIdleDetector) that monitors user inactivity:

• Configurable idle timeout
• Shows a countdown warning widget before auto-logout
• Triggers logout and returns the user to the login screen
